How do I make a school booking?

We ask for a school email address, school contact details, approximate numbers of both children and adults, ages of children, a specific date and any educational extras required from our Safari Academy.

Is there a cancellation fee?

There is no cancellation fee for any standard booking or amending numbers. However, if you have booked any educational extras (Safari Rangers, Discovery sessions, Creature Features or Walking Safari’s) we would need to know of a cancellation 48 hours before your visit date or you will still be charged for the extra sessions booked.

Where can we eat lunch?

You can eat lunch in the outdoor undercover picnic area by the coach park where there is seating for up to 250 students. There are also multiple picnic benches located around the park for smaller groups. 

Where are the toilets?

There are toilets situated in the car park by the seating area. There are also facilities near the Reptile House in the Discovery Trail, next to African Queen shop in the Adventure theme park and at the Safari Academy when booking an education session.

How do we travel around the Safari Drive-through?

The Safari Drive-through is open all day, see website or guide map for closing times. You are welcome to drive around in your own vehicles at your leisure. The Safari Academy can provide you with a Safari Ranger to enhance your educational visit if required, one ranger per single decker coach. This educational session is our most popular choice for schools visiting us.

Can I have a risk assessment from you?

We do not provide risk assessments; however, our onsite guidelines are on the website and are sent out as a link with a confirmation booking email. We also provide 2 complimentary teacher preview tickets for school risk assessments to be carried out once a booking is confirmed. We have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

How can I pay?

You can either pay by cash, card or business cheque on the day of your visit. Alternatively, we are able to invoice you after your visit, but a purchase order number must be provided via email 7 days before your trip.

How do I know if you are open when there is bad weather?

We can provide you with the most up to date information we have if you contact us the morning of your visit. We will make contact with the school the day before your visit if we are informed that Park will be closed.

How do I find out about educational sessions from your Safari Academy?

We provide a range of educational extra sessions from classroom session to Safari Rangers.
